Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity formed in 1993 and has completed 75 homes through 2015. Habitat uses volunteers and partner families to build decent and affordable homes that are funded by tax-deductible donations of money and materials. Houses are sold -never given away - to partner families for the cost of construction at no profit to Habitat. Habitat provides no-interest loans to partner families. This makes mortgage payments affordable for low-income families.
